As an HVAC contractor, you stay busy during the summer and the winter, as well as right before each of these seasons as your customers have maintenance done. That leaves a few months in between when you may not be as busy as you would like. One of the ways you can keep your team busy is to add fireplaces to your business lineup. If you install, maintain, and repair fireplaces, you’ll have a bit of extra work in the off-season and more during your busy season as well. Here are a few more reasons to consider installing and servicing fireplaces:
- They are popular. People look to fireplaces for more than a secondary heat source. They also love the ambiance. With many different types of fireplaces on the market today, including wall mount, electric, gas fireplace inserts, and free-standing fireplaces, there is something for everyone.
- You are already in heating. Your customers come to you for their heating needs already, so it isn’t a stretch for them to trust you for fireplaces. You may even be able to help a customer who isn’t getting the comfort level they want with their furnace, but isn’t prepared to upgrade it just yet.
- Better serve your customers. Fireplaces are also great for heating areas that may not get as much of the heat from the furnace as they’d like. When you can offer fireplaces, you are in a position to problem-solve for your customers and gain even more respect from them.
